Integration Add-on - This add-on extends MainWP to work with WooCommerce. Requires WooCommerce to be installed on your child sites.
The MainWP WooCommerce Shortcuts Extension adds a widget to individual child site Overview pages, providing direct links to WooCommerce admin pages through MainWP’s Jump to WP Admin flow.

Where to Find the Widget

After installing the add-on, the WooCommerce Shortcuts widget appears on individual child site Overview pages:
  1. Navigate to MainWP > Sites
  2. Click on any child site name to open its Overview page
  3. Look for the WooCommerce Shortcuts widget
Shortcut menus are available when MainWP’s validated cached plugin inventory shows WooCommerce as active. If WooCommerce is inactive or the cached status cannot be trusted, the widget shows a notice instead of the menus. If you open MainWP > Add-ons > WooCommerce Shortcuts, the page only shows a notice. The add-on does not provide separate settings there and works through the individual site Overview widget.

Available Shortcuts

The widget is organized into four accordion sections:

WooCommerce

Products

Analytics

Marketing

Each link opens the child site’s WooCommerce screen in a new window via MainWP’s Jump to WP Admin functionality.

Permissions

WooCommerce Shortcuts 5.1 checks access to the Add-on, the selected site, and the Jump to WP Admin operation before showing the widget’s contents. If you use Team Control, grant the user the WooCommerce Shortcuts extension permission, access to that site, and permission to access Child site WordPress admin areas. Shortcuts use a fixed set of WooCommerce destinations through MainWP’s authorized Jump to WP Admin flow. The Add-on does not grant additional permissions inside the Child site’s WordPress admin area.

Requirements

  • MainWP Dashboard with WooCommerce Shortcuts Extension installed
  • WooCommerce plugin installed and activated on the child site
  • MainWP Child plugin connected
  • Child site synced after WooCommerce is activated so MainWP can detect it
  • User access to WooCommerce Shortcuts, the selected site, and Jump to WP Admin

Cached Status and Synchronization

The widget reads cached MainWP data. Opening it does not contact the Child site to check WooCommerce. Synchronization data older than 24 hours is treated as stale. Failed syncs, malformed inventory, and inconsistent cached data also make the status unavailable. An unavailable result does not mean WooCommerce is uninstalled.

After Updating to 5.1

Existing stored plugin inventory can keep shortcuts available immediately after the upgrade, before the next sync creates the new detection record. The inventory must still pass the current synchronization and validity checks; a stale or failed sync does not keep the menus available.

When Installed Plugins Sync Is Disabled

If Installed plugins is disabled under Select data to sync, WooCommerce Shortcuts uses the existing stored plugin inventory when the next sync omits that data. Disabling this sync item no longer clears valid WooCommerce detection by itself. The retained inventory can still reflect an earlier WooCommerce installation or activation state. To detect a later plugin change, enable Installed plugins in MainWP Dashboard settings and sync the site again.

MainWP Abilities

WooCommerce Shortcuts 5.1 adds mainwp/get-woocommerce-shortcuts-status-v1, a read-only ability that reports one authorized site’s cached WooCommerce state, observation and sync timestamps, and freshness classification. The ability uses the same cached detection as the widget and requires Add-on, site, and Child site WordPress admin access. It does not sync the site, launch a shortcut, or change WooCommerce. See the dedicated WooCommerce Shortcuts Abilities reference for requirements, request examples, and response fields.
